Prashant Khanna

Bio for Prashant Khanna is a technocrat, mentor and sports media leader with more than two decades of experience at the intersection of sports, media and technology. He has led production, research and development, and innovation teams at global broadcasters and federations, including News Corp, NDTV, Turner, and Disney Star, and currently serves as Head of Production Services, Studios, and Technology for Sports and Live Experiences at JioStar.

Khanna has overseen World Feed and Unilateral productions for marquee events such as the Indian Premier League, Cricket World Cup, Pro Kabaddi League, and ICC tournaments. He founded and manages Star Lab, an award-winning R&D unit focused on reimagining live sports experiences. He has also driven fan engagement through gaming, esports, and metaverse initiatives, leveraging emerging technologies including artificial intelligence, cloud workflows, and next-generation broadcast systems.

Beyond broadcasting, Mr. Khanna advises and mentors sports and technology start-ups, invests in seed-stage ventures, and maintains a strong connection to grassroots sport as a certified football coach and Cruyff Institute alumnus. His contributions have been recognized with the National Award from the Government of India in 2024, as well as international accolades including the Leaders Sports Award and SportsPro OTT Award.
