Karim Sarkis has 28+ years of experience across media and management consulting in the Middle East and UK with his focus being on Culture, Media & Entertainment. He is an Aspen Institute Fellow and featured on the 100 Most Powerful Arabs list.
His expertise lies within Media & entertainment strategy, culture sector strategy, content and network management, and sector development strategy.
He has been responsible for developing the strategy and operating model for several different entities in GCC countries at varying periods. These include Theatre and Performing Arts Commissions, cultural associations and cultural talent development among others. He has also developed the Strategic Partnerships and Development Department of a GCC country’s Ministry of Culture; their public libraries sector including vision, positioning, concepts, and business model; the events strategy for their large city district in including vision, role, calendar and business model; the Vision Realization Office (VRO) of the Ministry of Culture including initiatives, budgets, KPIs, implementation plans, as well as supporting in execution; entire media sector strategies; the film infrastructure strategy; cross-media measurement initiative and other strategies within the OTT, sports, rights and other areas of the GCC media industry.
