Maite Ventura is the Managing Director for MENA and South Asia at LALIGA. With over 10 years working in the Middle East, Maite Ventura joined LALIGA in 2017 as part of LALIGA Global Network, a project to select young talent to grow LaLiga´s International image in which 13,000 candidates applied to represent the Spanish football league in 45 strategic countries. Before being promoted to Managing Director for the Middle East and North Africa in 2019, Maite was the LALIGA Delegate for UAE, managing different institutional, sport focused and socio-educational projects across the MENA region hoping to grow the business and using football as a developmental sport to achieve these goals.
In her current role, Maite is in charge of driving the growth of LALIGA across the region by implementing strategies to increase the following of the competition and its clubs with the aim of supporting LALIGA´s broadcasters to promote and protect and their product.
Prior to LaLiga, she worked for the Trade & Investment office of Peru in UAE as a Trade Marketing Manager and previously, as a consultant for the global media group The Business Year in various projects in Colombia, Panama and UAE.
She holds a Bachelor Degree in Communications & International Media by the University of Navarra and the Southampton Solent University, as well as a Master Degree in Television Communications by the University San Pablo CEU in Madrid.
