Dr. William Page is an entrepreneur and dual English and Australian qualified corporate lawyer, serving as Co-Founder, Chief Strategy Officer, and General Counsel of 1001, a leading video-on-demand platform in the Middle East. His diverse background in law, strategy, and entrepreneurship has driven innovation in the tech and media sectors.
Before co-founding 1001, William worked at top international law firms, including Herbert Smith Freehills and Vinson & Elkins, where he played a key role in launching STC Ventures Fund, one of the region’s leading tech venture capital funds.
William holds a PhD from the University of Sydney, where his research focused on corporate-startup collaborations through accelerators, with important implications for venture growth. This academic insight is now central to his strategic work at 1001, where he leads cross-functional teams and oversees innovation in product, content, and market expansion.
He also sits on the board of 1001 guiding the company’s growth in the highly competitive Middle Eastern market. Passionate about fostering innovation, William excels in working with diverse teams and navigating local streaming platform strategies to compete with global players.
