Hejar Berenji is the Chief Technology Officer at Rudaw Media Network, where he has led one of the Middle East’s most ambitious transformations in broadcast and digital media technology. With over a decade of experience in broadcast engineering, project management, and media innovation, Hejar has driven Rudaw’s evolution from traditional linear workflows to the deployment of a fully IP-based, cloud-enabled, and AI-integrated media environment.

Under his leadership, Rudaw has implemented large-scale initiatives including VIZRT automation, 4K UHD IP production facilities, and multi-site remote and distributed operations across several global offices — all designed to deliver reliable, agile, and scalable storytelling in one of the world’s most complex media landscapes.

Hejar’s vision lies at the intersection of technology, creativity, and resilience, empowering both editorial and technical teams to embrace the next generation of immersive content creation and consumption.
