Peter Van Dam

Peter Van Dam has over 40 years of extensive experience in media and broadcasting. His passion for the industry ignited at age 15 when he began working as an Audio Technician at a local radio station. His expertise gradually expanded to include concert production, and 1989 marked the official start of his professional broadcast career with VTM, Belgium’s first commercial TV station. In 2008, he played a key role in leading Abu Dhabi Media’s transition to HD broadcasting. Between 2014 and 2018, he served as Director of Technology at ADM. In 2018, Peter founded his own cloud-based service company in Dubai, specializing in integrating cloud technology across all facets of broadcasting. His enthusiasm for continuous learning, restructuring, and adopting innovative technologies has made him a passionate advocate for cloud solutions. He enjoys challenging conventional thinking and is a strong believer in growth and innovation. In 2022, he took on the role of CTO at Saudi Sports Company. Recently, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and his goal to advance new technologies such as cloud and remote production workflows, Peter joined the Saudi Pro League as Chief Broadcasting Officer in August 2023, aiming to enhance media production in the nation’s most popular sport.
