Production House of the Year
We want to see the best productions undertaken in the MENA region. It could be in the fiction or non-fiction category but it should have been produced and edited by people (local or expatriate) residing in the Arab world.
Who should apply: Production Houses/Post Production Houses/Independent Filmmakers/Producers/Broadcasters/OTT players.
Submission should include details of the production and why it deserves to win as well as a link to the production itself. A USB or DVD of the film should also be couriered to BroadcastPro Middle East, #208, Bldg 3C, CPI Trade Media, Dubai Studio City.
This award is for the quality of the content submitted.

BEST FACTUAL ENTERTAINMENT OF THE YEAR
Any non-fiction TV programming that documents actual events, people, animals can be part of this category. This includes documentaries, observational documentaries, docudramas, travel series, and reality television. The one condition is that this should have been produced and edited by people (local or expatriate) residing in the Arab world.
Who should apply: Production Houses/Post Production Houses/Independent Filmmakers/Producers/Broadcasters.

Animated Work of the Year
This category is self-explanatory. All animated works are welcome to participate in this category.

BroadcastProME Innovative Project of 2019
This award is aimed at acknowledging a specific project that deserves recognition in the market for being unique and taking the industry forward in terms of technology deployment. It needs to be a broadcast-related project but will accommodate traditional as well as new media platforms including Mobile TV, broadband, IPTV, distribution of content across different platforms and so on. The aim is to identify an award-winning project that has had a positive impact on the broadcast industry either within a specific Arab country, regionally or internationally.
Who should apply: Broadcast end users/SIs/web/user generated content players/ content aggregators and distributors or even service providers who work in a broadcast capacity or provide similar services to broadcasters/telcos etc.
Submission should include complete details/case study of the project or unique initiative and why it is unique in the region.

MENA TRENDSETTER OF THE YEAR
This award will recognise any broadcaster/OTT provider/ content generator/service provider that has undertaken a project in the region that is innovative and forward thinking and clearly makes them a frontrunner in the market.
Who should apply: Broadcasters/ OTT providers/ content aggregators/ content providers and service providers owned by public or private entities who work in a broadcast capacity or provide similar services to broadcasters/telcos etc.
Submission should include complete details/case study of any innovative or trendsetting project.

Best Streaming Service of the Year
Traditional broadcasters and OTT platforms are undertaking a number of strategies to differentiate themselves in the marketplace. This may be a commercial, technical or community initiative that is helping them to stand out from the rest with their OTT platform. It could be the innovative content deals you are doing with studios or the deals you are doing with telcos. We’d like to hear from you.
Who should apply: Broadcasters, OTT players and social media platforms, Production companies, Government and private entities
Submission should include sufficient details about your content, technical or commercial strategy and why you are a trendsetter in the OTT space.

Best Female Broadcast Executive of the Year
This award is a first for the region’s broadcast industry and is our first attempt to acknowledge women who have contributed to the success of this sector. We welcome nominations from any female executive in either the commercial or the engineering side of the MENA TV, radio, streaming or film production business who have innovated, been a game changer, led to strategic changes within their company or the industry or even succeeded in completing a major deal or a challenging project. This is open to women executives and engineers within the TV and radio broadcast, film industry or OTT market for this year.
Who should apply? Senior female executives, engineers, heads of production houses and women working in the TV, film, OTT or radio industry specifically within the area of strategic planning, commercial or engineering.
This award is not intended for anchors, presenters, marketing heads, financial heads and so on.
Submission should include strong and compelling reasons for why the candidate deserves to win.

With more companies creating content just for the web, we thought it appropriate to introduce this category for the first time this year. We want to see the best productions you have created for the web for MENA viewers. It could be in the fiction or non-fiction category but it should have been produced and edited by people (local or expatriate) residing in the Arab world.
Who should apply: Telcos/ Production Houses/Post Production Houses/Independent Filmmakers/Producers/Broadcasters/OTT players.

RADIO INITIATIVE OF THE YEAR
This award is aimed at acknowledging innovation in the radio sector that takes the industry forward in terms of content, marketing or technology deployment. We have deliberately kept this category broad to ensure that it is to reward innovation in this sector and not necessarily, the biggest financial investment in technologies. We are primarily looking at any strategy undertaken by a small or big radio station that pushes the boundaries of radio innovation in the region. Your nomination needs to highlight why you are unique or what strategies you have undertaken to make your radio station unique.
Who should apply: Radio stations.

If you have undertaken any OTT initiatives or online streaming projects, this category is for you.
Who should apply: Broadcasters/OTT players/integrators/app developers in the media space/producers/telcos/end users.
Submission should include important technical and user interface details as well as statistics and anything else you can provide to make your nomination stronger. If your strategy has been on the commercial side within OTT, we welcome nominations on this side as well.

This is a bit more generic and open to anyone who has undertaken a TV/video project on social media that is award winning.

SYSTEMS INTEGRATOR OF THE YEAR
This award is only designed to recognise the works of innovative systems integrators who think out-of-the-box and have completed a recent project that is unique in terms of design and deployment. Box shifters need not apply. We will not look at the number of projects undertaken by a systems integrator although this may be considered if the SI is involved in a wide variety of projects that are quite unique from each other. The main consideration, however, will be the design and deployment of an innovative or trendsetting project that requires skill to put together. Please ensure that the contact details of the end user are included to verify any claims if this is a self nomination.
Who should apply: Only genuine systems integrators need apply.
Submission should include complete details/case study of a project and why the project is unique, the special challenges under which you worked and how you undertook this project for the client.

This is for TV production and broadcast facilitators, rental houses, studio providers and anybody who provides services or facilitates services for end users within the TV and broadcast space.
Who should apply: This is for production houses, rental houses and any service providers who help facilitate the production of live events, sports or offer spectacular facilities or similar services to the industry.
Submission should include sufficient details about why you deserve to win. You should be able to prove that you are not just providing equipment but genuinely involved in offering best-of-class services and skills that benefit the market.
