Gianluca Chakra is the Managing Director and Founder of Front Row Filmed Entertainment, a leading independent film distribution company based in Dubai and distributing 90-120 titles annually across the region on an all rights basis including theatrical, all forms of Television and VOD.

Gianluca has also been involved in production and distribution of the Egyptian smash hit all-star TV show WAKKELNA WAL3A (Tough Luck). This was produced with Shadows Communications and iFlix and is the first original Arabic TV show to ever hit exclusively on a n SVOD platform. He also handled the international sales for the critically acclaimed Lebanese smash hit movie VERY BIG SHOT (Film kteer Kbeer), which was sold to Netflix and is now available in over 230 countries. His company is the sole aggregator for iTunes, GooglePlay, Amazon and Netflix in the region.

Gianluca’s recent MENA acquisitions and MENA releases include LOVING VINCENT, WIND RIVER, the 2pac Shakur biopic ALL EYEZ ON ME, Oliver Stone’s SNOWDEN and for 2018, Front Row’s slate includes THE :P:ROFESSOR & THE MADMAN with Mel Gibson and Sean Penn; I FEEL PRETTY with AMY SCHUMER and Academy Award Winner Michelle Williams; I LOVE YOU, DADDY with Louis CK; YOU WERE NEVER REALLY HERE with Academy Award Winner Joaquin Phoenix.”
