Frederic co-founded Newsbridge in 2016 with his twin brother Philippe Petitpont. Frederic is the creative technologist, and Philippe, the broadcast engineer. The two had the combined digital, IT and broadcast expertise to build a technology company to harness the potential of Artificial Intelligence and create new ways to produce, host, and share content.
The consequences of the exponential growth of video content produced are the key pain points addressed by Newsbridge. Reviewing massive amounts of video content is no longer a human-size challenge. Relevant portions get lost and or overlooked amidst longer rushes. Documentalists, journalists, media managers suffer from longer delays between field reporting and publication, which results in less relevant footage and reporting, increased competition to break the news first, capture audiences, and increase revenues.
With over 10 years of expertise in AI and digital, Fred came along with a new way to address this issue: considering video as big data. Mixing big data technologies with broadcast expertise creates the new state of the art in the industry. By unleashing the elasticity of cloud infrastructure and the efficiency of neural networks to analyze media assets frame-by-frame, Newsbridge provides a solution that promotes return on investment and content monetization.
Today Newsbridge is used by TV Channels, Press Agencies, Sports rights owners, Production Houses to boost their media value chain.
Prior to founding Newsbridge, Frederic was leading the development of service-oriented platforms for companies like Peugeot, Ubisoft or Danone, addressing Big Data, UX, and content recommendation engines challenges.
