Joe Kawkabani

Joe Kawkabani is the Chief Executive Officer at OSN Group, one of the world’s largest multinational entertainment content companies. Based in Dubai and serving the Middle East and North Africa region, Joe joined OSN Group in April 2022 to lead the company’s growth strategy and brand transformation, bringing the group ahead of the industry.

As an industry veteran, with more than 20 years of experience in structuring and managing investments and ventures in frontier markets, Joe’s vision for the company is to be a leading premium entertainment ecosystem in the region.

Before joining the group, Joe’s tenure as Group Chief Investment Officer at Kuwait Projects Company (KIPCO) saw him spearhead the company’s overall value creation and transformation programs while he was instrumental in setting and executing its investment strategy, remaining a board member of KIPCO to this day.

Earlier in his career, Joe held the position of Chief Investment Officer – MENA equities at Franklin Templeton, a global leader in asset management. He was also the co-founder and Managing Director at Algebra Capital, which independently manages secured and unsecured NPL (non-performing loan) portfolios and prior to this, he was also the Head of Equity Asset Management at SHUAA Capital, an asset management and investment banking company.

Joe holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Saint Joseph University in Beirut.
