Asim Altokhais a cultural entrepreneur, an award-winning screenwriter, and a novelist and the Co-Founder and General Manager of 3rd action.Inc that specializes in Screenwriting and Comics. Graduated from Vancouver Film School in 2011, majoring in writing for Film and TV, he also added MA Writing for Script and Screen from Falmouth University, UK. He published several books by IUniverse, Kalemat, Alhudhud, and Culture Trends. In 2015 his graphic novel (Alaa: The Bounty Hunter) (Fantasy – age 9-12) won best children book at Kitabi 21 competition for the Children’s Book of the year by the Arab Thought Foundation. Have a weekly column at Makkah Newspaper published every (Saturday), his articles focus on expanding Cinema culture and movie critic for local and international movies. Asim worked as a co-producer/translator for the full documentary film (Earth Medicine) in 2014, and in 2016/2017 Disney chose 3rd action, Inc and Asim Altokhais to write the new comic book containing 73 stories from several international writers, and Asim was chosen as the only Middle Eastern writer from the region. His short film (open my eyes) won the Robert Bosch Stiftung in 2013, and his short film script (X-13) won best short film script at the Canadian Feedback Festival in 2017. His short film script (X-13) was an official selection at the Underground Indie Film Festival – Horror cult and Sci-Fi fantasy in 2017, an official selection at the International Feedback Film & Screenplay Festival in 2017 and reached the Semi-Finals at the European Cinematography Awards in 2018.
