Ziad Kebbi, co-founder of Blue Engine Studios along with Hani Ghorayeb has produced hundreds of hours of television and has been responsible of hit shows such as The Desert (SBC), Story of my Life (Dubai TV), Come Dine with Me season 1 (OSN) as well as The Voice Senior (MBC), The Voice Kids S3 (MBC) and The Voice S5 (MBC).
Kebbi was President of Sony Pictures Television Arabia (SPTA) from September 2010 to August 2014. As President, Kebbi managed SPTA’s overall regional operations within the Arab world, which included television and digital content production, and the development of new entertainment products, services and technologies. The company was behind hit shows “The Voice Season 1 and 2” as well as Heba Regel El Ghorab.
Kebbi had been Managing Director of Endemol Middle east up to 2010; he established Endemol Middle East in 2007, where he served as Managing Director 2007 -2010. While there, he established solid production bases in Beirut and Cairo with regional offices based in Dubai. Sold and produced more than 24 Formats in the first 2 years of the operation; including the following tittles; Fear Factor Extreme (Hayat TV Egypt); Deal or no Deal (Hayat TV Egypt); Guesstimation (Abu Dhabi TV); Ton of Cash (Abu Dhabi TV); Male/ Female (Talk show MBC) and The Manager (Original Format – Reality Talent show – Rotana). He also closed a deal with Abu Dhabi sports to launch dedicated Premier League channels.
Prior to that he was Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Elements TV (2004 – 2007).
Kebbi is a graduate of the American University of Beirut. He was raised in Beirut and is fluent in Arabic, English and French.
